Adam Whiting is the founder of Edge GVL, a coaching organization dedicated to developing players of all ages. With over 9 years of experience, Adam has a passion for nurturing talent and helping athletes reach their full potential. His commitment to excellence and personal growth sets Edge GVL apart in the coaching community.
My Background
As I mentioned above, my name is Adam, and I live in Travelers Rest, SC. I have had a passion for baseball all my life, and continue to love the game.
I was a catcher at Kent State University where we won conference regular season and tournament championships.
I have enjoyed years of experience as a coach, an instructor, and running many baseball camps.
I have a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology, certifications in sports nutrition, running gait analysis, and as a certified Exercise Physiologist. In addition, I have professional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, including the honor of treating Collegiate athletes and Professional athletes.
I created Edge Fitness to pour my passion and unique blend of expertise into training both youth and adults.

Meet Our Amazing Coaches
Max Johnson is a former collegiate athlete from Wilmington, NC who now resides in Travelers Rest, SC. Max attended Phoenix College and North Carolina Wesleyan College where played outfield at all 3 positions. He received All-Conference honors at both schools and played in the NJCAA World Series in Oklahoma. He now focuses on multi-sport athletic development for all ages, as well as, personal and group training. He has experience in training professional, collegiate, and youth athletes. Coach Johnson is certified in Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, and CPR.
Fred Jimenez, has over 20 years of experience in teaching the art of the Windmill Fastpitch. Coach Jimenez was a pitching coach at Field of Dreams in Westdeptford, NJ, and a pitching coach at Sports Central in Bellmawr, NJ. Coach Jimenez was the pitching coach and owner of Mr. Fred's Overdplate Fastpitch in Gloucester City, NJ. Now he is offering softball pitching lessons at Edge.
